This project focuses on the ecological effects of industrial pollution on a specific site in Barreiro, Portugal. The project demonstrates the inseperability of “inside” and “outside” by exploring the eerie similarities of - and blurring the boundaries between - the natural and the synthetic.
The sculptural works resemble bones, plants, mold and industrial waste, by which they delve into notions of purity, porosity and impermeability.
